Navigating the Waves & Embracing the Future: A Journey of Growth, Learning, and Community Impact!

In the ever-evolving landscape of the Electronics Manufacturing industry, it is crucial to pause, reflect, and celebrate the milestones that have been achieved as well as take stock of all the learnings. The past year 2024 had been a remarkable chapter in the history of Vinyas and was nothing short of extraordinary, marked by significant achievements, and milestones. As we reflect on our triumphs, it’s a testament to the unwavering commitment of our employees, the support of our stakeholders, and our unrelenting focus on growth and development.

In this blog, we list down all the accomplishments and reflect on the journey that led us here!

Awards and Accolades

Vinyas has been bestowed with several prestigious awards and accolades, reflecting our commitment to excellence in all that we do. Major awards to mention are the “DivHERsity Award” for promoting women in the workplace and the “Partners in Progress” Award from the Advanced Defence Systems Navy of Bharat Electronics Limited, Bangalore which was conferred during the Vendors Meet 2024-25.

Quality Excellence

At Vinyas, quality has always been a fundamental principle, and in recognition of World Quality Month in November, we engaged our employees in various competitions to celebrate this occasion. This month serves as an opportunity to enhance quality awareness, share valuable knowledge, acknowledge achievements, and promote quality initiatives, tools, and effective communication. To honor this annual celebration, Vinyas organized a range of contests, including a Hand Soldering Competition, Kaizen competition, Quiz on ESD, 5S and IPC Standards, allowing employees to showcase their skills and commitment to quality.

Events and Expositions

Vinyas has strengthened its position as a preferred ESDM partner by participating as a key exhibitor and sponsor at two major events. The first, Defence Partnership Days 2024 event, which focused on promoting collaboration between the armed forces and industry to enhance and empower a self-reliant India. At this event, Vinyas showcased its expertise in electronics manufacturing and is proud to meet the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) needs of the Indian Defence forces, thereby contributing to the indigenization of defence manufacturing in the country.

Secondly, Vinyas participated in the Indigenization Conclave organized by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL KORWA) in Bangalore as part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative. This event provided an excellent platform for Vinyas to highlight its contributions to the advancement of India’s Aerospace and Defense sectors while engaging with industry leaders. Our involvement in these events underscore our commitment to supporting India’s journey toward self-reliance in defense and aerospace manufacturing.

Training and Development Programs

At Vinyas, we firmly believe that our people are our greatest asset. Hence, investing in their growth and development remains a top priority. As part of our commitment to excellence and growth, we have rolled out more than 85 training and development programs throughout the year to enhance our team’s foundational skills, technical skills as well as interpersonal skills.

Vinyas believes in nurturing talent and offering opportunities for employees to reskill and upskill through these various programs. This approach not only empowers them to be self-sufficient and proactive but also helps them to contribute their best to the team; which in turn enhances the team’s success and also strengthens the company’s credibility and partnerships. Ultimately, this leads to comprehensive growth for both the employees and the organization as a whole.

Jnana Jagrithi: In-house Continuous Learning Initiative

At Vinyas, learning and training have always been given high importance with a scope to develop multi-skills and enhance knowledge. An e-learning platform called “Jnana Jagriti” has been developed in-house to set up a foundation for self-learning and growth and does not need classrooms, faculties, and people gathering. This has proved to be a successful initiative as employees have access to data and training material without the hindrance of time and place; which in turn has helped to upgrade knowledge, and encourage continuous learning.

Employee Engagement and Cultural Celebrations

At Vinyas, we strive to create a positive and vibrant work environment that promotes happiness, creativity, teamwork, a sense of belonging, and camaraderie among our employees. Like every year, last year too we celebrated various festivals, organized competitions, and cultural events which aided in bringing everyone closer in the spirit of joy and togetherness.

The year 2024 began with the festivities of the Sankranthi festival, followed by the screening of the sacred Consecration Ceremony of Sri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, which culminated in the lighting of 1,001 diyas! Out of all the celebrations, the nine-day Dasara festival was the most enjoyed and was extra special as it included various competitions like cooking without fire, rangoli drawing, flower arrangement, kite and pot decoration, photography contest and so on. Each day had its own unique dress theme, and employees dressed up accordingly, which added a vibrant touch to the office environment. Curtains fell down on the Ayudha Pooja day with the prize distribution event.

From Dasara to Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi to Kannada Rajyothsava, and Sankranthi, each celebration has strengthened our bond as a team and has also provided a much-needed break from the daily routine.

Our Responsibility towards Our Society

At Vinyas, we trust in the power of giving back to society and preserving our planet for the generations to come. Making a positive impact in the communities we serve is at the heart of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. In 2024, we undertook several initiatives under three main focus areas:

  1. Environment & Sustainability: included sapling plantation drives, go-green initiatives, and environment clean-up drives.
  2. Education & Infrastructure: included rural school mentoring & training initiatives, support for infrastructural development, clocking-in employee corporate social time, providing educational resources, setting up of science labs, sponsoring scholarships, as well as organizing teacher training programs.
  3. Nutrition & Health: included conducting HPV awareness sessions for girl students in selected government schools in the city of Mysore, support for palliative care, distribution of groceries to the shelter homes, and associating with “Akshaya Aahara” to address the need for food for all.

These programs reflect our unwavering commitment to creating an impact on the environment, local communities, and the lives of those we touch.

Final Thoughts

As we embark on this journey of reflection, it is essential to acknowledge the collective efforts of our employees, customers, suppliers, and the community at large. Their unwavering support has been the driving force behind Vinyas’ success and growth.

As we move into the New Year 2025, we will remember the lessons learned and the challenges solved, as we remain committed to upholding our values, driving sustainable growth, maintaining our momentum, embracing innovation, and continuing to create value for all our stakeholders.

Together, we will strive to achieve greater heights and continue to write the success story of Vinyas, one milestone at a time!
